Jatiluwih Rice Terraces

Our next adventure of the day following our Sekumpul Waterfall stop was the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. We had a quick bite to eat at a nearby restaurant before heading out on a nice, picturesque walk.

That isn’t our lunch. I promise. I just failed to snap a picture of the food, probably because Adam cannot stand food pictures.

The view at the restaurant was breathtaking!

Jatiluwih is located in the area of Tabanan, right at the foot of Batukara Mountain. It has an area of approximately 640 hectares and an altitude of about 700 meters above sea level. It was definitely a nice area to cool off and enjoy some fresh air.

I don’t have much to say about this stop, other than it was absolutely beautiful and well worth a visit. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. 🙂

After about an hour of walking, we headed back to our villa. It was our last night in Ubud so we decided to walk into the city centre one last time for dinner. The next morning we would be heading a bit north west into the mountains for a night in an eco stay.

Our time in Ubud and the surrounding area was amazing. We were sad to leave but we were looking forward to a relaxing night in the mountains and then off to the beach for a few days of sun. Click here to read about the next day’s activities!
